Top Esports Teams Yet to Hit 1 Million Peak Viewers
Major esports tournaments attract millions of viewers worldwide, and it has become increasingly common in recent years. Each year, the industry sees the emergence of new gaming titles, both on PC and mobile platforms, capable of drawing in massive audiences for live broadcasts. Interestingly, despite these opportunities, not all popular esports clubs can (yet) boast of reaching a million concurrent viewers per match. Some of the names might surprise you!
Surprisingly, Karmine Corp, KOI, and Team Heretics, major organizations owned by some of Europe’s most popular streamers, have yet to reach the one million viewer mark. Co-owners of these clubs — Kamet0, Ibai, and TheGrefg — regularly broadcast matches featuring their teams across various disciplines. Thanks to their strong community casting, matches of Karmine Corp, KOI, and Team Heretics positively impact the viewership of the leagues they participate in. However, their most popular series are still far from reaching the one million viewer milestone. At least for now.
The list of clubs also includes many renowned organizations that have achieved great success in specific games — for example, SK Gaming, MIBR, and BIG. All of them have made a name for themselves in Counter-Strike, with some even emerging during the era of CS 1.6. Perhaps most surprisingly among these names is Ninjas in Pyjamas, one of the most decorated and recognizable teams in the world.
MOUZ, Complexity Gaming, and Shopify Rebellion may not have the same support as community casting from popular streamers. Still, they regularly compete in major tournaments and have every chance of one day gathering a million fans in front of their screens. Currently, MOUZ and Complexity Gaming are competing at the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 for Counter-Strike 2, while Shopify Rebellion may achieve this milestone in Valorant, Dota 2, or League of Legends, where quite strong teams represent the club.
